Putting words together

I smile at the word combinations Jenna uses now. They are not sentences or phrases yet, but she knows the separate words go together. And as usual for toddler speak, each word is repeated until we either understand or do what she asks.

Come. Up. Come. Up. (as opposed to 'come up')

Nauk. Hands?

Catch. Ball.

Push. Play. (when we put her Baby Einstein DVD in)

She also is putting concepts together. Uncle Scott, you will like this one. In our community, they have a fire whistle that sounds when the volunteer fire department has a call. When she hears it, she says: Call. Guys. Station. Help. Often times, its not exactly in the right sequence and she repeats them several times until she's satisfied with the answer. No one remembers telling her about it, but she knows that when the whistle blows, there is a fire call, the "guys" go to the station and then help people.
