The last words of the day

When Jenna goes to bed, I sit on the couch with my laptop and do what she calls my "projects". I turn off the tv and listen to her sing and talk to her stuffed animals. I especially love the songs. More often than not, she calls to me right before she falls asleep.

"Mommy? Can I leave my eyes open? All day, all night?"

"Yes, you may." I yell into her.

and then it's quiet. :)
