The Jenna Shuffle

Jenna is exorcising the word "no" more often now. She is realizing the power of choice and perhaps equally important, she is realizing that she doesn't always have a choice. :)

What is funny is how she sometimes answers questions now. It's as if she talks before she makes her decision. What results is the Jenna Shuffle.

"Jenna, do you want to play blocks?"

"Okay, No" She says these two answers in rapid succession and if you aren't conscious of it, you will physically respond each time - causing a bystander to think you are trying some new dance those wacky college kids are doing. As soon as you hear the okay part, you start to move towards the blocks and then stop immediately short after the No part.
And like all good dances, it repeats. You try another choice.

"Do you want to read books?"

"Okay, No" (Insert stutter step again)

And repeat.

The dance always seems to end the same. You will stop offering choices and try your luck with an open ended question. The answer is cute and predictable.

"Jenna, what do you want?"

"ummmmm, how 'bout.....cookie?"

That's so funny. I can just imagine you doing your little dance to Jenna's responses.
